Greatest activities must do in Mongolia: Horseback Riding Adventure in Steppe

  Did you know that Mongolia has more than three million horses? Mongolia is  definitely  the best place to ride horse. Standing no taller than 1.6 meters at shoulder height, Mongolian horses may look at ponies at first glance. However, Mongol horses are very strong with amazing stamina. They are the best horse breed to adapt to Mongolia’s harsh climatic conditions and nomadic way of life. Catching horses with Uurga Horse is a main part of nomad’s life but still maintain their wild nature.  The horses live in herds, led by a stallion who guides the horses to water, shelter and safety.  The horses are hardy and adapted to living out in temperatures that can reach -45c, and are able to forage for food in any conditions. Dinosaur museum opens in Ulaanbaatar

The “T.Bataar and the Amazing Dinosaurs” exhibition opened last night, July 8 th , at the new Dinosaur Museum, located in the building of the former Lenin Museum. In this exhibition, Tarbosaurus bataar and other priceless fossils will be on show. Visitors will be able to see rare and famous Mongolian fossils such as Saichania (an armored dinosaur), Gallimimus (a bird like dinosaur), Oviraptor (meaning an “Egg Thief”) and Protoceratops (meaning “First Horned Face”). The Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Ts.Oyungerel cut the ribbon opening the exhibition and enjoyed seeing the famous T.Bataar fossil in its new home. The museum will also be offering educational programs for children, students and families to learn about the dinosaurs in the exhibition and about paleontology. Ulaanbaatar Marathon held to promote sport

Creating a public physical sports day and promoting the city to the rest of the world, the Ulaanbaatar Marathon will be held on a Car-free day on June 7 th . The Ulaanbaatar Marathon is expected to involve 25-30 thousands participants from state agencies, NGOs, other organisation, and representatives of foreign embassies and diplomatic mission as well as international marathon runners and athletes. The marathon will be organized by the Capital City Governor`s Office, the Ulaanbaatar City Tourism Board, the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, and the Mongolian Youth Federation as well as other organisations. The registration for the marathon will continue until June 1 st . The Ulaanbaatar Marathon will start from Chinggis Khaan Square at 9.00 am on June 7 th  . from: news.mn
